Premier Prep Athletics Basketball League Rules I. Rules and Exceptions A. All games will be played under National Federation of State High School Association (NFSHSA) B. Exceptions to (NFSHSA) rules. 1. Two 20 minute halves - running clock for the first 18 minutes of each half. Clock stops for the last two minutes of each half, all time outs and unusual delays. This is up to the discretion of the referees. The clock runs last 2 minutes if lead is 15 or more points. 2. One-and-One on the 7th team foul. Two shots on the 10th team foul. 3. Four Time-Outs for the entire game. No 20 second Time-Outs. 4. Each player is allowed six personal fouls. 5. All overtimes are 3 minutes long. The clock will stop the last minute of overtime. 6. Only the head coach may stand and is restricted to an area covering the length of the bench from the first to last seat. Do not block the scorekeeper's vision. 7. Head coach may beckon the referee for a time out.

Situations and Notes
A. Referees will use "NBA" type mechanics to keep the game moving. B. Substitutes will be beckoned into the game by the referees. All players must report to scorers table before entering the game. C. Taunting, profanity and "trash" talking will not be tolerated. Referees are not required to warn a player or coach before assessing a technical foul. Automatic 2 points will be awarded for technical fouls. D. Fighting (includes pushing, kicking, etc.) is an automatic ejection and 1 game suspension. Second ejection for fighting is an automatic suspension form the league. (No refunds) E. Pressing Restrictions (RESPECT - GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP RULE) 1 All 7th and 8th grade divisions: No pressing by a team with a lead of 15 or more points. 2. All Freshman, JV & Varsity divisions: No pressing by a team with a lead of 20 or more points. G. Half-Time: 3 minute half-time. H. All players must wear team color shirts with numbers on the back. Any color shorts may be worn. I. Gym supervisors will mediate all situations outside the authority of the game referees. J. Only players allowed on court. No spectators or shooting during time outs or half time.
